Little Travellers! 

小小旅行家!

Our Grade 4 students were taken on a journey around the world while being in the four corners of the classroom! It was made possible using a globe. Using this essential geographic tool, our students had fun navigating through different continents and what makes them special by looking at their facts and landmarks. As a bonus, they marveled at the beauty of the Seven Wonders of the World!


我们四年的孩子们借助地球仪在教室的四个角落进行了一场精彩的环球之旅!利用这个重要的地理工具,孩子们既收获了在各大洲之间穿行的乐趣,也了解了与各大洲有关的事实和地标。在这个过程中,每个人都惊叹于“世界七大奇迹”的绮丽风光!

Getting Merry with Cartography!

The students combined all their newfound knowledge in this unit with some creativity and artistic ability to create a beautiful wind chime. They had fun activating their ability in geography as they illustrate landforms, landmarks and world wonders onto the correct continent, creating their own unique world map!


孩子们将本单元所学知识与自身的创造力和艺术能力相结合,制作出一个个精美的风铃。他们尽情发挥了自己在地理方面的才能,将地貌、地标和世界奇观绘制到正确的大陆上,创造出了独属于自己的世界地图!

It's Time to Chime!

叮铃——风铃来了!

The fun didn’t stop there, for they were about to get into the tricky part – putting the whole thing together! They teamed up and threaded the beads and a bell through a string before attaching their hand-drawn world maps. Then, ta-da! Here are some of our kids’ beautiful and educational wind chime!


等等,有趣的旅程还没有结束,因为他们即将进入到制作环节中最棘手的部分——把整个风铃组装起来!孩子们分工合作,先把珠子和铃铛穿在绳子上,再把手绘的世界地图贴上去。铛铛!一个风铃就制作完成了!让我们一起来欣赏孩子们制作的精美又富有教育意义的风铃吧!

Being Proud and Loud!

大胆展示吧!

Finally, the students cultivated their presentation skills by getting up in front of the class to present their finished wind chime, explaining their illustration choices and designs.


最后,孩子们来到讲台,向全班同学展示他们的风铃成品,讲解自己的插画内容和设计思路,这也锻炼了他们的语言表达能力。

This project combined different educational styles. The students were able to apply the information that they had been taught in a creative fashion, allowing them to express themselves, develop their teamwork skills and reinforce the key information.
