Goodbye, Winter! Hello, Spring!  As we bid goodbye to the winter season, our adorable young learners took steps ahead in welcoming the most awaited season, SPRING! 

再见，冬天！你好，春天！在告别冬天之际，我们可爱的小学者们迈出了学习的步伐，迎接了人们最期待的季节——春天！

Spring Sight.春天的景象

The class kicked off the day by describing the season. The children activated their sensory skills and shared how spring feels. Furthermore, images were flashed in various sceneries depicting the splendor of changes. Plants grow, flowers bloom, and butterflies enjoy the sweet smell of the flowers in the meadows and gardens. These are just a few of the things that people enjoy at this time of the year. Truly, the re-awakening of the nature. 

这节课以描述季节拉开了帷幕，对季节的认知，充分激活了孩子们的感官，分享了孩子们对春天的感觉。春天的景象在脑海中浮现，描绘了季节变化的美好。植物生长，鲜花盛开，蝴蝶享受着草坪和花园里花朵的芳香。这些是人们在一年中最喜欢的阶段，因为大自然苏醒了。

Spring Change.春季的更换

Our adorable storytellers once again explored the world of classical stories as they actively listened to a tale about change, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” written by Eric Carle. The story follows the journey of a very hungry caterpillar who emerges from an egg and eats everything in sight before changing into a beautiful butterfly. The storyline was simple, yet it captivated our students’ hearts as it provided them with an understanding of the natural world and the concept of transformation among its creatures. Students were further engaged by learning the life cycle of a butterfly. Through interactive activities, such as “Very Hungry Caterpillar Lacing Game and Moving Caterpillar,” students’ learning was reinforced.  

我们可爱的讲故事者和孩子们一起探索了古典故事的世界，分享了Eric Carle书写的一个讲述“变化”的故事《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》。故事讲述了一只饥饿的毛毛虫从卵里孵化出来，吃掉了眼前的一切，然后变成了一只美丽的蝴蝶。故事情节很简单，但它深深吸引了学生们，因为它让他们了解了自然世界及其生物之间的转变，更让学生们感兴趣的是了解蝴蝶的生命周期。孩子们还通过“非常饥饿的毛毛虫游戏和移动毛毛虫”等互动活动，加深了对毛毛虫的认知。

Spring Recipe.春季的美食

It got more interesting when real cooking adventures took place. Apparently, our young chefs just couldn’t resist the joy and fun in the kitchen. They were all very excited when they learned that they had two recipes for this lesson. Students were tasked to make a “Hungry Caterpillar Sandwich and Fruit Salad,” similar to what they had in their story time. But first, students learned some cooking verbs necessary for food preparation. Some of those were slice, spread, and stir. Learning became more meaningful as they integrated these vocabulary words with sentences. Additionally, the students learned the cooking process as the teacher demonstrated each step. Students were all engrossed in making their own food! 

当真正的烹饪探险开始时，这个主题的课程变得更加有趣了。显然，我们的小厨师们无法抑制对CSC教室的喜欢。当得知这节课将烹饪两种不同的食物时，他们都非常兴奋。类似于故事中的情节，小厨师们制作了一份饥饿的毛毛虫三明治和一杯水果沙拉。但在制作之前，小厨师们学习了一些有关烹饪的动词来为此次烹饪做准备，例如：slice、spread和stir。当他们能够将这些词汇应用在句子中，就真正体现了学习的价值和意义。而且，当老师演示每一个步骤时，学生们也学习并享受了烹饪过程。学生们都能全神贯注于制作自己做食物！

Spring Taste.春天的味道

After all the hard work, it’s time to reap the fruit of their labor and experience new tastes that encourage their adventurous palates. They all loved it! Students couldn’t contain their happiness and excitement as they savor their own prepared food. Undoubtedly, cooking and working in the kitchen provided our students opportunities to gain a sense of accomplishment. They were so proud of what they had made!

在经历了所有的努力制作后，是孩子们的收获劳动成果的时候了，老师鼓励他们体验、尝试新的口味。当学生们品尝自己制作的食物时，他们无法抑制自己的快乐和兴奋，他们很喜欢这次的三明治和沙拉。毫无疑问，在CSC教室的学习、体验和烹饪为孩子们提供了让他们获得成就感的机会。他们也为自己的成就感到骄傲！
