After enjoying some well-deserved time off this summer, our dedicated teachers returned to school full of energy and determination to make this academic year one to remember for our students! As part of our continuing professional development, teachers participated in a series of comprehensive training programs. The aim of this training is to equip our teachers with the latest educational tools and strategies to best serve our hard-working students.

Designing Materials with Learning Goals in Mind

In the context of refining teaching techniques, the teachers underwent a workshop on designing materials that could help provide valuable information on the student’s learning, growth and achievements. Teachers further discussed and emphasized the importance of aligning their self-created materials with the learning goals and how to implement them effectively in the classrooms. 

为了让教学方法和教学技巧更上一层楼，我们组织了“如何设计教学材料”的研讨会，这些材料可以为学生们的学习、成长和进步提供重要的信息。在研讨中，大家还进一步讨论并强调了自制材料与学习目标一致的重要性，以及如何在课堂上有效地使用这些材料。

In this day and age, people continue to navigate the digital landscape. Therefore, it is essential for educators to embrace new and innovative ways through integration of multimedia into our classrooms. The course provided the teachers with a new set of skills - audio recording and editing. When used effectively, these tools can help our teachers transform the way they teach and engage the students more in the learning process.

如今，人们一直在“数字系统”中摸索前行。因此，对于我们教育工作者来说，如何将多媒体恰当地融入课堂，并采用创新的教学方法是至关重要的。所以，在本次的培训中，我们又解锁了一项新的多媒体技能——音频的录制和编辑。如果大家能够有效率地使用这些现代化的新工具，并转换成自己的教学方式，学生们将会更加多元地参与到学习中。

Understanding students’ backgrounds is a fundamental aspect of effective teaching. For this reason, our teachers attended several discussions about the best practices in education. They actively explored effective classroom management and positive behavior support needed to create an engaging learning environment for our students. Additionally, teachers brainstormed on how to incorporate play-based learning using ESL teaching techniques to accommodate different learning styles and abilities. 

对我们老师而言，了解学生的教育背景是有效教学的基础。因此，在这次培训中，大家也多次分享并讨论了教学中的优秀实践案例。我们积极探索有效的课堂管理方法，同时也在努力为学生们创造更有趣、更有序的学习环境。此外，我们还一起讨论了如何利用ESL的教学技巧，融入游戏化学习，以适应学生不同的学习风格和能力。
